Glossary
 
1. Fraction - A ratio consisting of a number on the numerator and a number on the denominator
 
2. Numerator - The number located on the top section of the ratio or fraction.
 
3. Denominator - The number located on the bottom section of the ratio or fraction.
 
4. Equivalent Fractions - Two fractions that looks different but are equivalent to each other in value.
 
5. Least Common Multiple (LCM) - Two or more numbers that share the smallest multiple number.  To find the LCM, multiply each of the numbers by an increasing number scale of 1, 2, 3, ... and look for the smallest number that they share in common.
 
6. Greatest Common Factor (GCF) - Two or more numbers that share the same greatest factor number.  To find the GCF, divide each number by a scale of 1, 2, 3, ...  Write down the numbers that go evenly into each number and look for the largest possible factor that both numbers share.
